Day 3.

Måløv and Copenhagen as a local We met at the school and in small groups started to discover Måløv. We got a tour of their school which was very different from Hungarian schools. The school system itself differs from what we call normal. They have a primary school-like institute where they study from 1st until 9th grade. But they change classes inside the school when they start 7th grade according to foreign language and subject levels. This is also the time when children can change schools without any drawbacks. After 9th grade, they write a nationwide test which helps them decide their next step. They can either choose a year in a "specialty school" called after school, where they study a year away from their families focusing on one specific interest, like sports or theater or they immediately choose from two kinds of high schools. There's a practical kind of high school, which trains students for a skill-based job, or an academic high school, where they get a high education in languages, sciences, and math and prepare for university. We were at a primary school. The school had a big study kitchen, a woodwork room, a biology/chemistry laboratory, and a smaller theater hall that stood out compared to Hungarian schools. One of my favorite things to see was the church of Måløv. As activities, we played frisbee in a park with our partners. This city tour was very long and tiring so we went back to have lunch at the school. Afterwards, we had a free afternoon which my partner and I spent in Copenhagen. This time was mostly about me shopping in thrift shops, interior design shops that are one of a kind in that area. I fell in love with the city on this day. We wandered the streets of Copenhagen like locals and I got to experience that Danish city lifestyle.
