Today our Erasmus group visited two beautiful cities in southern Italy: Otranto and Lecce. In the morning we travelled to Otranto, a small coastal town with a very rich history. There we had a guided tour where we learned about the city's past, its importance as a port, and the historical events that shaped the region. Walking through the narrow streets and along the old city walls was a special experience. The view of the sea was also amazing and the atmosphere of the town was very peaceful. After the guided tour we continued our journey to Lecce, which is famous for its beautiful baroque architecture. We spent a few hours exploring the city by walking through the historic centre. The streets were full of impressive churches, old buildings, and lively squares. We also had some time to relax, eat local food, and enjoy Italian coffee in one of the cafés. It was a great opportunity to experience the culture and everyday life of the city. Overall, it was a very enjoyable and interesting day, full of new experiences, history, and good company.
