Even though the groups were just formed and the projectwork started one day before, Tuesday offered us something completely different. I started the day as usual: drinking an espresso, but I was suprised to see that my partner was preparing breakfast. After eating some delicious ham and eggs, we left the house and joined Nóri and her host student in the bus stop. During our ride we could experience an Estonian ticket controll, which was much similar to a police inspection. After getting off at the CBD, we continued our journey with a private coach to the countryside. The first destination was the Kalevipoeg epos museum in which we we could see the most important pieces of the Estonian literature. It was mesmerizing to see how it influences other forms of art, as well. Our next stop was the Ice Age Center where we could listen to the geographical history of the area. The team was guided by a science professor who did not just show us the exhibition but also added several fun facts and extra information. Our lunch was also served here, which even contained a dessert. The last stop of the bus tour was the local zoo. It was enjoyable to get face to face with bears and other local forest animals. During the afternoon we explored Tartu's botanical garden where the bloom has already started. We ended our day with buying fridge magnets and post cards for souvenir.
