First Day at School

On Monday, we had our first day at school. We took a bus to the city center, where the school is located. After arriving, we put down our belongings and were welcomed by our hosts, who were very helpful. They showed us the classroom and gave us a tour of the school. The building was large and a bit like a maze. The school has a huge basement area, which is used as:

  • a theater room

  • storage space

  • a sports room

  • and also as a hangout area

After the tour, we played some games to break the ice and get to know the Belgian students and their Estonian hosts. One of the main purposes of the games was to divide us into groups, which we would work with throughout the week. Afterwards, we had time to work on our projects, had lunch, and then continued working. In the afternoon, we took part in a fun activity organized by two Estonian students. We walked around the city and collected photos of different attractions. Later, we returned to school, watched a basketball match, and then went to a mall. All in all, it was a really fun day, and it was great to meet new people in a new environment.
